Terms of service.
These terms are the agreement between you, the beauty professional using VelvetDesk (the "artist"), and VelvetDesk, operated by Yury Sharlou in Los Angeles, California. By starting a trial or using the service you accept them.
What VelvetDesk does
VelvetDesk answers direct messages sent to your Instagram professional account, in your own words, using the prices, rules and conversations you give us. It offers available times, sends your booking link, and tells you when someone books. It is an assistant, not a replacement for you. You stay responsible for your prices, your schedule and the service you deliver.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and run a real business that you are allowed to represent.
- You must own or control the Instagram account you connect, and your use of Instagram must follow Meta's terms.
- You are responsible for keeping your prices, hours and rules up to date. VelvetDesk replies from what you gave it.
- You must not use the service to send spam, to harass anyone, or to say anything unlawful.
Free trial
The first two weeks are free and need no card. During the trial we set up your voice with you and run your messages. At the end of the trial you can subscribe or stop. If you stop, we delete your conversations and files as described in the privacy policy.
Subscription and payment
After the trial, the service is billed monthly at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. The first 20 artists in Los Angeles keep their launch price for as long as they stay subscribed without a break. Payment is by card through Stripe, in advance, each month. You can pause or cancel at any time from the link we send you or by writing to hello@velvetdesk.io; the change applies at the end of the current month, and we do not refund partial months.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a number of bookings, a response rate, or revenue. We do not promise that Instagram or Meta will keep their messaging tools available or unchanged. If Meta suspends the connection, we tell you and pause billing until it is restored.
Your data
Your conversations, your prices and your rules stay yours. We use them only to run the service for you. Details are in the privacy policy. You can ask for a copy or deletion at any time.
Our content
The VelvetDesk name, logo and website are ours. You may not copy or resell the service.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost bookings, lost profit or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time. We can end your access if you break these terms, with notice by email, or if we close the service, with at least 30 days' notice and a refund of any month you paid for and did not receive.
Changes
If these terms change, we tell active artists by email at least 14 days before the change applies. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, unless the law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
